What Yoga actually does for your Body & Mind.

Honest moment: I’ve been neglecting my Yoga practise for the past 3 weeks. This is due to me being in my FINAL few months in school ; studying , drama , and stressing about what has to be done (in deciding My Future) So I have been a stiff stick.

I woke up this morning in a horrific mood. I am stressed and irritated and frightening of all, SO demotivated! I’m physically tired and stressed (constant nausea and tenseness). This is when I realised, My Goodness, I Actually NEED my Yoga!

Yoga is my form of maintaining health with my body and mind. It keeps my mind focused on positivity and relaxation (through breathing techniques ) and urges my body to stay supple and more at ease/loose.

Yoga teaches you discipline and control. You learn how to control your breaths and movements. It stills your mind and enhances your balance.
The Purpose of Yoga. … The original context of yoga was spiritual development practices to train the body and mind to self observe and become aware of their own nature. The purposes of yoga were to cultivate discernment, awareness, self-regulation and higher consciousness in the individual. An irregularity in the body affects the mind and similarly unpleasantness or restlessness in the mind can manifest as an ailment in the body. Yoga poses massage organs and stregthen muscles; breathing techniques and meditation release stress and improve immunity.

Other physical benefits of yoga include:
• Increased flexibility.
• Increased muscle strength and tone.
• Improved respiration, energy and vitality.
• Maintaining a balanced metabolism.
• Weight reduction.
• Cardio and circulatory health.
• Improved athletic performance.
• Protection from injury.

Please feel free to email my inquiries on how and where to start! And have a look at my Instagram page for videos xx ( Instaname: Catch Conny )

Soon I’ll be posting personal photos and videos of me practicing Yoga and Meditation. But for the mean time I’ll get you started with my first Yoga sequence:
